Attention PTA Groups & Parents:
The PTA Fun Run will be a community driven fun run fundraising event for elementary school PTA groups across the Columbia School District.
There will be a short “fun run” course set up on the Cosmo Fitness trail. The route will be 1.3 miles in distance and will be one loop around the trail. Along the course participants will be entertained by a color explosion station, DJs, costumed volunteers, performers, dance parties and many more surprises! This distance is encouraged for young elementary school ages and there will be starting times for the different ages to help group the younger and older kids together.
Purpose of the run:
Bring community members together for a fun athletic event! Also to raise funds for PTA groups across the school district! Althought registration is free, participants will be encouraged to make donations on the event registration platform during the check out process. 100% of the donations (minus the credit card processing fees) will be given to the PTA group that is chosen by the registrant (the default option is to split evenly among all groups). The more involved a school and PTA group is with connecting their school community to the event the more successful their fundraising will become! This will give each PTA group the opportunity to be involved with creating a profitable running event without having to do all the work and planning! Plus what a great way to bring school and kids across the Columbia together for a fun and active morning!
How to be involved with the run:
We would like to partner with as many PTA groups and families as possible with the inaugural PTA Fun Run! The more involved a PTA group is with the event that more successful the event will be for the individual schools and for the community at large! The crew at Off Track Events will take care of all the logistics of setting up the event and details come game day! We need as help from the PTA in connecting with their schools and helping with promoting the event to your school community! What does this involve? Simply connecting with the school administrators and help us get a shout out on the upcoming school fundraising schedules and events! We will provide all the promotional materials and just ask that you get them in the right hands! Bookmarks, event flyers for the Friday folders, yard signs promoting the event, Facebook event links… We will get you everything that you need to spread the word! Get parents and kids excited about a community wide fun event that we can hopefully grow into an annual tradition!
