No Kid Left Behind:

Each school PTA group will be given a number of registration vouchers for kids/families who might not be able to afford the registration cost. There will also be an option on the registration platform to Pass It Forward and to cover the cost of a registration for families who could otherwise not afford it. Sponsorships can also help cover expenses of having low-income families be part of the event!

Registration/Event Perks:

• PTA Fundraiser for the Columbia School District

• Individual donation drive to specific PTA groups

• Free run socks, finisher medal and sponsorship swag bag

• Free donut at the conclusion of the run

• 5k/10k only: Professional chip timed results

• Community building event for schools/families/students

• Canned food drive for the Food Bank

Other details:

• Promote the new Central Pantry building near to Cosmo Park

• Sponsors will be approached to raise the capitol to produce and promote the event.

• Work with PTA groups to have flyers sent home in Friday folders and sent to school email list

• Promote with yard signs in front of schools leading up to the event

• Work with Columbia Missourian on newspaper promotions and BXR with radio promotions

Bonus Ideas:

• Expand the run to a mini festival! This could include games like a school festival (mabe each school could organize a couple of their best fall festival games).  

• Invite other performers and events - Example - Show Me Dinosaurs, burn circus, jugglers, magicians, bike stunt show?

• Other events? Could we mash in some other fun events during the same timeframe? Example: Roller Rink Dance Party at the skate park? NICA mt bike recruitment? 

• Vendor and sponsor expo? Perhaps sponsors can get a vendor spot at the event? 

• Is there a Cosplay group in Columbia or STL KC that we could invite?
